Upper deck pool was exceptional - kids loved it (so did I) and we spend most of our time there. When not there, the kids clubs were excellent mostly dude to the fantastic staff involved. They were friendly and enthusiastic and couldn't have done more to make the kids experience better. We had half board, so breakfast and dinner. The buffet was sensational - both breakfast and dinner had quality and variety in equal measure and we looked forward to each meal. Our room was also top class, we had a 2 bed apt as there were 5 of us and it was perfect. Balcony was a sun trap with great views and a table and chairs outside as well as in for easy lunches. We were concerned about being a bit out from Salou as we had small kids but it was fine and we got a taxi in both times for about 12€. We found that we rarely wanted to leave the Mediterranean Village which I think is the best endorsement. There are beaches close by and some shops and supermarkets nearby so you don't need to venture far. We are already thinking about a return journey at the end of the summer. Ps - forgot about the evening entertainment - was amazing - table quiz, Michael Jackson tribute and African acrobatics were the highlight. Pps - astroturf around the pool area was genius - way less falling for the kids as they ran around to go on the slides again and again and again and again :-D

A standard family 4 star hotel. I think it's important to recognise that 4 star family hotels tend to be more "well-used" than couple hotels. Reception and breakfast areas were immaculately clean. Great pool areas in the hotel and a splash park just opposite. Our little one (2 years old) loved every minute poolside. Dinner was delicious every evening with something for everyone. Salads, roasted vegetables, potato based dishes, hot meats/fish, vegetarian options like risotto or cannelloni. They also have a kids buffet with things like nuggets and chips. Breakfast was ok, but the beans and sausages were cold every morning. Plenty of other options to choose from like pancakes, fruit, breads, cheeses and hams etc. Entertainment was great - our little one loved it. There are a few small but beautiful beaches just opposite the hotel- would highly recommend.

Hotel was much better than your average 4* Spanish Hotel and we have been to many! Desk staff very efficient and polite. In fact All the staff were very good. We had a room with a seperate lounge and a large balcony overlooking the sea. There were a large number of families with young children but this did not really impact on our hotel experience. We had a hire car and found parking fairly easy in the roads around the Hotel but there was also a very regular local bus service into Salou throughout the day. The bus stop literally yards from the Hotel. On arrival the voucher for welcome cocktails along with a small box of chocolates was also a nice touch. The pools were well used throughout the day but there were plentiful loungers for people to use to avoid any congestion.

We liked the rooms and the food there was an excellent variety always really fresh and very well organised breakfast and dinner, half board was excellent and location was very good for buses to all areas near a plana bus depo for excursions great staff in there, monserratt is well worth a visit if your kids are older, pools are great loads of room and, plenty of sun beds no problem getting one any time of day no need to book beds. Fantastic place for primary school kids fantastic night time entertainment fir kids and a couple of times in the week for adults as well. We had a pool view opposite the entertainment stage don't book pool view if you want an early night although music etc is finished by 12 mn but we didn't mind. Air con excellent..

Karen

The room was spacious and the beds a good size but the mattress's were a little hard. Drink prices were very reasonable and not overpriced like some hotels. The staff were excellent throughout in the restaurant, bar and reception. Buffet food was excellent for a Spanish hotel and everything you could want for breakfast. Two very large pools which looked lovely. It is a very family oriented hotel which we knew about so no problem but at the time of year we went it was mainly babies and toddlers. As a couple we would not go in high season but chose it for the location and convenience of half board whist travelling home to Southern Spain.
